Mom to Mom at Four Oaks-What is it?

Mom to Mom is a ministry designed around the Titus 2:4 concept of older women teaching and encouraging younger women in their relationships with God, their husbands, and their children. "Teach the older women to...teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children." (Titus 2:3-4, NIV) At Four Oaks, it includes biblical instruction by Gretchen Fleming, fellowship with one another, small group discussion led by experienced moms, and quality care for the children.

Mom to Mom meets the first and third Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11:30am, with our first meeting being September 21. Each mom needs to pay $5 for one child or $10 for two or more children. To make it easier on everyone, we encourage moms to pay for the fall meetings at one time ($35 or $70).

Who is welcome?  All Four Oaks women (whether you’re a mom or not) are welcome. New moms, moms with kids in school or home school, moms whose children have flown the coop, women who would like to be moms. Also, Mom to Mom is a safe place to bring friends from our community who don’t have a church home and who you would like to see come to faith in Jesus Christ.

We need you. If you would like to serve with Mom to Mom, you do not have to be a seasoned mom to help in these areas:

-Hospitality -greeting, leading ladies to nursery, leading them to their tables, checking in (3-4 ladies)

-Newsletter/media (1-2 ladies)

-Prayer and Care (handle special prayer request and meals for mom in our group that may need help due to birth of a new child or sickness in family 1-2 ladies)

-Service projects (reaching into our community with our children) 1-2 ladies

-Play dates and outings (making sure we stay connected outside the church walls) 1-2 ladies

-Table leader (be in charge at your table of getting RSVP for next meetings, childcare registration for each meeting, prayer request and general needs of your table- this is NOT for mentoring) 1 for each table
